I have seen guilds with more than one leader, how do you do this? I have some lads I want to promote in my guild.

You can't promote a player to leader. The only time a guild can have two leaders is:
1. The leader has been inactive for an extended period and the game promoted one of the right hands to leader so the old leader can be kicked
2. You log a support ticket with sublinet explaining the reason why you want to promote another player to leader. They'll pretty much only accept that you need to replace the old leader
