So, in the top level auctions, two teams tonight are arousing suspicions. This is not the first time this has come to light, but something ought to be done about it.
Firstly there is Rhino, who is currently bidding on at least 7 players, all around 17.7k rp's each.
More importantly there is Welsh Wizards, who is bidding on no less than 17 players, all for eaactly 40,000 rp's each.
Now I'm no idiot, but are we to seriously think these guys are legit? Lets explore the two possibilities here:
1) The maximum number of RP's earned in a normal season from the AH (level 20): 480 per day x 15 days per season = 7200
Assuming the guild wins all the GC's in a season (practically impossible now 25 teams play and MB is usable) = 500rps x 7 games = 3500rps
Therefore the MAXIMUM you can legitimately earn is 10700 rp's in a season. It is not reasonable to assume these guys have earned these RP's through this method. There is always the possibility that they have traded efficiently and hence have a large surplus of RP's from buying low and selling high, but I just don't buy that.
2) The RP's have been bought.
10,000rp's = 200 gold balls = £11.57 in real money
Therefore Rhino would have had to have just spent £143.35 - around the same price as an hour with a pretty decent escort with big norks.
Moreover, Welsh Wizards would have had to have just spent £786.76 - about the same cost of my wifes last shopping bill.
Are we expected to just take this as reasonable practice? If you want to kill the game for us, then just let it carry on. Cheating just isn't fun.
Whilst I am ranting I also want to vent a little about the structure of the championship levels, especially the top one.
Currently my team is in the top level, 21. This season, 9 teams will go up, again to the top level (which will be 22). We will be joined there by 3 more teams from the league below (20), also 3 more from two leagues below (19).
Total number of teams that go up to top league: 9 + 3 + 3 = 15
Total number of teams that remain in league just below top = 5
Therefore, ultimately, as time goes on, everybody will be in the top league, or maybe a league or two below, depending on performance. Nearly everybody, competing with each other for the limited number of players in each seasons auctions.
Now factor in the cheats above who are snapping up the best players for themselves to fictitiously make everyone think they have somehow built a great team.
It is killing the game and needs to be sorted - swiftly. Because if you don't, you will lose legitimate top level players time and again as they realise the futility of trying to compete.
Thankyou for allowing my rant
